MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It was atop the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He worked alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He next year, came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. The year 2021 was the first time he was in a duet with TINI for her hit online song Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo has an musical family, as both his parents and brother are musicians. In interviews he has described participating in music as compulsory. He began playing the saxophone, guitar, the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. In spite of initially wanting to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his profession.
